Vic's first studio album since 1993's critically acclaimed 'End of the Surrey People'. Long-Term Side-Effect was released on Tugboat Records in close collaboration with Motion, and is distributed in the UK by Vital. The album marks a definite return to form for Vic, and is also an indicator of his renewed enthusiasm for writing and recording. Edwyn Collins produced many of the tracks on the album, as well as contributing guitar and keyboards. Other musicians include guest guitarist Roddy Frame (Aztec Camera), Claire Kenny (Shakespeare's Sister, Sinead O'Connor) on bass, and Pete Saunders (formerly of Dexy's Midnight Runners) on keyboards.
